New proposal for abstracts in two languages   
Dear internists from all around the world,

On behalf of the Argentine Society of Medicine and in alignment with the International Forum of Internal Medicine, we would like to extend a proposal for the dissemination, visibility, and recognition of scientific abstracts in both Spanish and English at the upcoming SAM FMC FIMI SAMIG Congress, taking place from November 7th to 10th, 2023.

To achieve this, we have developed a digital platform where abstracts in Spanish or English can be submitted, categorized accordingly, and considered for awards following the scientific regulations (which entail over 30 prizes in each category: free communications, clinical cases, case series, qualitative research, and programs/projects).

All abstracts must be presented in PowerPoint format, comprising 8-10 slides in the style of an “ateneo” or similar format.

Scientific works can be presented in two ways:

1. In-person at the venues in Buenos Aires from November 7th to 10th, in sessions conducted in either Spanish or English. By choosing this option, you will have the advantage of experiencing Buenos Aires, Argentina, and enjoying our culture and the culinary delights the city has to offer.

2. Virtually, via Zoom, from November 6th to 10th, in sessions conducted in either Spanish or English. This alternative offers the benefit of reduced expenses, as participants will only need to cover the registration fee.

For both presentation formats, sessions lasting 90 minutes will be organized in Spanish and English, featuring 9-10 works each, with a jury composed of two internist and specialist commentators. Each presentation should be 7 minutes long, followed by a 3 to 5-minute discussion.

All abstracts will receive a certificate of presentation and authorship. Additionally, abstracts from countries with SAM FIMI agreements, as well as those from resident fellows and scholars, will enjoy a special discount.
